Everwood Hearth was created from a simple belief: that what we surround ourselves with should matter. We believe the hearth isn’t just a place — it’s a feeling. That a table can hold memories, not just meals. That a sign can speak more than words. That when something is handcrafted, it carries soul. What we build isn’t just furniture or décor—it’s a little piece of your story, made to last for generations.

Everwood Hearth is the woodshop dream of Jake CalaMahtar—a builder, craftsman, and lifelong learner who’s been working with wood for over ten years. What began as a hobby became a passion and calling: to create pieces that hold meaning, tell stories, and are built to last.

Jake learned the craft from his dad while growing up, as well as through classes and hands on learning, refining his skills over time with every project, mistake, and triumph. Today, he leads the way in the shop—cutting, carving, building—bringing each design to life with patience, precision, and pride. His hands do the building, but his heart shapes every piece. 

While Everwood is Jake’s shop, it’s also a family endeavor. Born from a love of craftsmanship and connection, Everwood is part of our family owned creative ventures under The CalaMahtars, our homegrown studio collective. We believe that craftsmanship and beauty still matter, especially today, not just for looks, but for legacy. Each piece is designed and built by hand, right here in Tennessee, using quality materials and a whole lot of care. Every piece is created with intention, shaped by heritage, and designed to feel like home.
